2016 Renault Twingo GT Comes with 110 HP Engine

I think in car industry, a big car isn’t always fast, and a small car isn’t always slow. A French automaker, Renault, trying to prove that their minicar, Twingo is fast. Recently, the Boulogne-Billancourt based company revealed 2016 Twngo GT which will make its debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Renault Twingo GT comes up with a 3-cylinder engine, 900 cc, turbo, modified air intake, and remapped engine software. The result is around 110 hp and the powertrain is mated to manual transmission. That output number is fast enough for minicar segment. Furthermore, Renault’s engineers also re-tuned the suspension, recalibrated the stability control system, and honed the variable steering rack to add driving pleasure.

For the design, there’s almost no change. Renault just did a little change at the exterior area. Up front, there’s no chrome accents anymore. It’s replaced with a black accents to add sporty look. From side, you can see new 17-inch wheels that is likely made specially for the hot-hatchback. And at the rear, there’s no change in design. A ‘GT’ and ‘Renaultsport’ lettering make the 4-door car can be recognized as a Twingo GT easily.

When it go on sale later this year, Renault offers the new shade of orange like in the picture above, along with black, grey, or white.
