After introducing the seventh generation of 5-Series sedan last year, now BMW reveals a new variant of the executive sedan, 5-Series Touring which is formed a station wagon. Yeah, even though its segment isn’t as bright as crossover or SUV, but the German company still releasing the type of car which has a big capacity of trunk as an advantage.
For the exterior part, there’s no difference between sedan and wagon. But Touring gets D-pillar. For body construction, still using a lightweight but strong body so that the fifth generation of 5-Series Touring is 100 kg lighter than its previous generation.

And if the passenger seats were folded, the capacity will increase to 1,700 liter. The fifth door can be open in two-way: a separately-opening rear window and an automatic tailgate operation.
For the features, there’s no difference between sedan and wagon. It means that the newest variant of 5-Series gets a 10.25-inch display that will show infotainment system with gesture control, and the latest Head-Up Display. And the safety features is very complete, such as Crossing Traffic Warning & Priority Warning, Lane Change Assistant & Lane Keeping Assistant, and more.
