Citroen just revealed the latest generation of C3 to the world. The second generation brings a lot of improvements for its design, technology, and engine. Now, the New C3 comes up with latest design language that we have seen on C4 Cactus and probably will be used for other upcoming models.
2017 C3 has a unique but funky exterior design. I guess that Citroen’s designers are inspired from C4 Cactus for its design and Nissan Juke for the composition of lights at the front. The small and thin lights is positioned near grille, meanwhile the main headlights is placed right underneath it. And the front bumper features circular fog lights with red accents around it.
On the side, we can see the signature and latest technology from French automaker, Airbump protection panel that is used for the first time in C4 Cactus. For those who unfamiliar with Airbump, it’s a protection panel at the doors that will protect your car against scrapes from other car’s door, trolley, and more. And at the rear, there are Citroen DS3-inspired rounded LED taillights.
Inside, Citroen wants you feel like at home when travelling with newest C3. Therefore, the French carmaker offers comfortable seats, panoramic sunroof, ingenious stowage features, and the generous space allocations.
The hatchback presents interesting features, such as, a 3D satellite navigation system with real-time traffic info, Citroen’s SOS service with live assistance, driver fatigue warning, and ConnectedCam that uses a wide-angle camera, GPS, web connection to send images to social media networks with a single click, and when car is stationary you can upload a 20-second video.
Under the hood, buyer can choose between diesel or petrol engines. PureTech petrol powertrains comes up with 3-cylinder and have 3 outputs, 67 hp, 81 hp, and 108 hp. And the BlueHDi diesel has 2 outputs, 74 hp and 99 hp. All the engines are mated to a manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
2017 Citroen C3 provides 36 color combinations, with 3 colors for the roof. In the interior there are 4 interior themes, including Urban Red which has red dashboard panel finish and red stitching.
