At 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo, Maruti-Suzuki introduced its latest line-up for Indian market. Named Vitara Breeza, it’s a mini SUV that was developed in India to compete with Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300. Even though it has the same name, but the SUV is unrelated to the icon Vitara (I don’t know whether it’s a good news or a bad news).
The exterior design is completely different to Vitara. Up front, we can see the headlights feature tiny LED Daytime Running Lights. The A-shaped on the front bumper reminds me of current Vitara. At the rear, I think Suzuki’s designers were inspired by the newest Vitara. It can be looked from the taillights that almost the same to its big bro. For the dimension, it is 3,995mm (157.2 in.) long, 1,790 mm (70.5 in.) wide and 1,640mm (64.6 in.) model rides on a 2,500mm (98.4 in.) wheelbase offering a respectable boot space of 328-liters.
Under the hood, there’s a 1.3 liter Multijet diesel engine that produces 90 hp at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque. It’s mated to 5-speed manual gearbox. The gasoline engine probably to be added in the near future.
