Truck is a tough vehicle. But it doesn’t mean it can’t be a luxury car. Some manufacturers offer luxury trim for buyers who prefer their truck looked fancy to macho. And at this year’s Chicago Auto Show, some carmakers introduced their latest trucks with special and luxury treatment.
Chevrolet shows off its latest special edition for Colorado, named Colorado GearOn Edition. The special edition truck is fitted with the GearOn accessory system. In case you don’t know what is that, it’s a system that’s designed to be easily configured to your favorite sport stuffs, such as mountain bike, kayak, ski, stand-up paddle boat, tent, and more. According to Tony Johnson, Colorado marketing manager, the mid-size truck is made for those who likes outdoor activity.
As differentiation to regular Colorado, Chevy adds off-road assist step, 18-inch alloys gloss black wheel, body color grille, black Chevy bowtie emblems, front fog lamps, and more. 2015 Chevrolet Colorado GearOn Edition will go on sale this spring with a starting price $31,250. It’s available in extended and crew cab configuration on LT model, with long or short cargo bed and offered with all-wheel drive system.
Another Chevy’s special edition for its truck is Silverado Midnight Edition. Sandor Pizsar, Marketing Director of the Silverado said that the Midnight Edition would let dealers offer a custom look right from factory. So, what will we get with the special edition? All-black body colored (including grille, bumper, headlamp bezels, tow hooks, fog lamps, side moldings, and beltline moldings), 18-inch black alloy with Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac all-terrain tires, special Z71 badges on the doors, and black Chevrolet logos.
If you were interested with the truck, you can order now. 2015 Chevrolet Silverado Midnight Edition will be offered in 1500 double cabin or crew cab. And it will be produced up to 5,000 units.
Do you want to look elegant while work with your truck? 2016 Ram Laramie Limited Edition could be the best choice. Unveiled at 2015 Chicago Auto Show, comes up with more luxury design. Just like its sibling, Ram Rebel, the Laramie gets new grille design which replaces cross-hair grille with big ‘RAM’ emblem. Bigger ‘RAM’ emblem appear in rear with half a meter size! Ram said that the function of big emblem was for clearly identify the truck.
Exterior changes including darkened halogen headlights, LED turn signals, LED taillights, and extra shiny chrome on some exterior elements. Inside, the full-size truck features black Natura Plus leather with Graystone piping on the seats. Furthermore, it has Black Argento wood and Liquid Graphite accent throughout the cabin.
