Say hi to 2015. Say hello to North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) 2015 as the first auto show this year. This is one of the biggest auto show that car guys are always waiting for (so am I!). After recession that plagued USA, I hope we can see the cool cars there (I mean new muscle cars, supercars, new full-size trucks, and new SUVs).
Some car companies has confirmed that they are going to introduce their latest cars or concept cars. Audi will introduce 2016 Q7 with its newest design language. American luxury brand, Cadillac confirmed that they will show off its fastest car in Executive Sedan segment, CTS-V with 6.2L V8 engine produces 640 hp. After got early reveal at 2015 CES, Chevrolet will unveil 2016 Volt with full specification details. From South Korea, Hyundai is set to debut 2016 Sonata Hybrid which brings 2.0L GDI gasoline engine and 51 hp electric motor. The automaker claims that it has 18.2 km/liter fuel consumption.
Toyota’s luxury division, Lexus, will introduce two new cars, GS F and New RX. 2016 Lexus GS F is the answer for Caddy CTS-V, BMW M5, Audi RS6, and Mercedes E63 AMG. Meanwhile, the New Lexus RX is rumored to share platform with latest Toyota Harrier. Lincoln is going to introduce 2016 MKX which is shared platform with Ford Edge but it has totally different design. From Germany, Mercedes is ready to unveil GLE-Class Coupe. It will be the right rival for BMW X6.
From the truck segments, there will be 2016 Nissan Titan that we have seen the ‘Truckcumentary’ video teasers. It’s prepared to attack full-size truck segment. And after a decade, finally Toyota will reveal New Tacoma. It will be rival for Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon in mid-size truck segment.
Swedish car company, Volvo will introduce the first ever sedan crossover, S60 Cross Country. Yeah, it’s weird. But who knows it will be a trend this year or in 2016. Nissan’s luxury brand, Infiniti will debut Q60 Concept that will be produced later in 2015 and will be BMW 4-Series’ rival. And finally, Buick is going to reveal a new car. Not a new car actually. It’s a re-badge of Opel Cascada, and named Buick Cascada. It will have the same exterior, interior, and technology.
