A few days ago, I received an e-mail from Livestream. They invite me to watch Chrysler’s press conference at Chicago Auto Show next week. And then I was wondering about what car that will Chrysler unveil at the show. And today, my question is finally answered because Dodge has just revealed Journey Crossroad.
Journey Crossroad is still a mid-size crossover, but now comes with SUV-inspired exterior design. Up front, Crossroad has Gloss Black grille with fog lamp surrounds, Platinum Chrome accent, and black headlights bezels. Side, we can see unique side sills, Platinum Chrome roof rails, and 19-inch Hyper Black 5-spoke aluminum wheels. In rear, Dodge designer added Gloss Black taillights bezels, new lower rear fascia, and a ‘Crossroad’ badge.
And for the cabin, Dodge said that there were many unique touches, such as black leather with sport mesh insert and Light Slate Grey accent stitching on the seats, center armrest, and door panels. Steering wheel and shift knob are wrapped with leather. The interesting features inside Journey Crossroads are 8.4-inch UConnect touchscreen, power front seat and a front passenger fold-flat with hidden storage bin under the seat cushion.
The Crossroad has a 2.4L 4-cylinder DOHC produces 173 hp and mated with 4-speed automatic transmission. Another engine option is a Pentastar 3.6L V6 produces 283 and mated with 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Backing up its tough look, Dodge added All Wheel Drive (AWD) system that promises extra grip and of course it’s very useful if you live in Snow Belt or rainy country.
